Siliguri, 16th March: Two women were caught red-handed stealing the purse of a lady inside an auto, on Wednesday. The incident surfaced from the Airview More area.
As per the information, a woman named Tumpa Ghosh was on her way to Debidanga in an auto from Court More. Two women were seated by her side. As the auto reached Airview More, Tumpa realized her bag was missing. When she started to look around, the two women seated beside her suddenly jumped off the vehicle and tried to escape. However, they were successfully nabbed by the locals.
Later, Siliguri police reached the spot, conducted a search and recovered the stolen bags from their possession. Several more bags were also recovered from the duo.
