Siliguri: Two men attacked on asking their neighbours to turn down TV’s volume

Siliguri, 27th January: Two people have been severely injured in a dispute that surfaced from the ​​Kharibari Gaursingh Jote area under the Siliguri subdivision.


It has been learned that a clash broke out between two families on Wednesday night over turning down the television volume. In the course, Deenbandhu Barman and Buddhadev Barman were severely injured. They were initially rushed to Naxalbari Rural Hospital and later shifted to North Bengal Medical College. The accused individuals namely Dipul Goswami, Mithu Goswami, and Bishwanath Goswami are absconding since the incident. Kharibari police are investigating the matter.

According to police sources, the incident occurred when Deenbandhu Barman and Buddhadev Barman went to their neighbour’s house to ask them to turn down the television volume.
