Siliguri to witness a grand procession during Ram Navami on April 17

Siliguri, 15th April: Shri Ram Navami Mahotsav Samiti has announced the organization of a grand procession in Siliguri on April 17th in celebration of Ram Navami. This announcement was made during a press conference held at the Siliguri Journalists’ Club on Monday.


According to reports, the procession is set to commence with a puja at the Hanuman temple in Mallaguri. The rally will circumambulate through various locations in Siliguri including Siliguri Junction, Mahatma Gandhi More, Sevoke Road, Bidhan Road, Hillcart Road, and Burdwan Road before concluding at the Siliguri Hindi High School.

Significantly, Ram devotees from various parts of the city are expected to join the procession, which will feature seven tableaus organized by the Central Association. These tableaus will showcase images representing the Ram Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Mathura, and Gomata.


In this regard, Lakshman Bansal, the secretary of Shri Ram Navami Mahotsav Samiti, expressed anticipation for a significant turnout, stating that this year’s Ram Navami festival is expected to draw a larger crowd compared to the previous years.
