Siliguri, 15th August: On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of India, the Siliguri Sub-divisional officer felicitated 7 doctors who have recently won the battle against the Novel Coronavirus.
It has been learned that these seven doctors have been continuously risking their lives and working on the frontline amid the pandemic. They also returned to work after they recovered from the infection.
A function was organized on Saturday at Siliguri SDO Bhawan to felicitate the dedicated heroes. Deputy CMOH-2 and other officials of the health department along with SDO Sumanta Sahay were present during the programme.
SDO Sumanta Sahay stated that the COVID-19 situation in Siliguri is much stable than earlier due to proper medical infrastructure. However, everyone must be careful and wear masks. Besides, the COVID warriors of different blocks were also felicitated today.
