Siliguri, 2nd February: In view of the rising population in the city, the new Uttarayan Out Post was inaugurated, on Tuesday, by Siliguri Commissioner Gaurav Sharma. Besides, a Kali temple near Sammane Bari, adjoining Uttarayan Out Post was inaugurated by the Commissioner’s mother Vipin Bala Sharma.
During the event, Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma stated, the Uttarayan outpost has been redesigned for the safety of the Uttarayan Township, Chandmuni Welfare Society, and the people living in the area.
DCP Joy Tudu, ADCP Traffic Poornima Sherpa, ACP Manish Kumar Yadav, Reserve Officer Aman Raja, personnel of Matigara Police Station, Siliguri Police Station, Bhaktinagar Police Station, Medical outpost, Uttarayan Out Post, including several top officials and the officials in charge were also present.
