Siliguri, 11th March: The movement of Paddle Rickshaws will be stopped on the main roads of Siliguri to reduce traffic congestion.
The Siliguri Metropolitan Police has already decided to restrict the plying of paddle rickshaws in SF Road, Hillcart Road, Bidhan Road, Burdwan Road, and other Asian highways from March 17.
Many are saying that there was a need for such guidelines to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
