Siliguri, 15th March: Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) staged a rally on Sunday demanding Bihar’s Nitish model to be implemented in Siliguri.
As per the report, a rally was taken out in front of the Khudiram Basu’s statue in Mallaguri on Sunday. The rally then toured various areas of the city.
JDU’s Darjeeling District President, Bhushan Kumar Soni, stated that the Bihar government’s ban on alcohol has reduced antisocial activities to a great extent. Therefore, they demand the law to be implemented in Siliguri too.
