Siliguri, 07th May: In a significant development, Mayor Gautam Deb has announced plans to relocate the statue of renowned Nepali poet Parijat.
As per reports, the decision was made as a part of the ongoing beautification efforts of Siliguri. Reportedly, one of the major infrastructural changes is marked by the construction of a flyover bridge at Siliguri’s Checkpost leading to the relocation of the statue of renowned poet Parijat.
On Tuesday, Mayor Gautam Deb accompanied by officials visited the area and announced the plans to relocate the statue. Additionally, the trees adjacent to the road will be safely uprooted and replanted.
