Siliguri, 19th October: On behalf of the Siliguri Karbala Intezamia Committee, blankets, and nutritious food were distributed among the needy people to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad.
The members of the committee visited various places including North Bengal Medical College and Hospital and handed over food and fruits to the needy. Besides, blankets were distributed at Karbala Maidan in Burdwan Road.
The committee later announced the launch of a free ambulance service in the interest of the general public. Convener Mohammad Anthony, President Mohammad Kalim Akhtar, Vice President Mohammad Arif Khan, Secretary Mohammad Sattar, and other members of the committee were present at the programme.
