Siliguri, 27th February: Siliguri Junction Traffic Guard Police launched operations against Modified Silencer on motorbikes.
It has been learned that the operation was carried out at Gyan Jyoti more in Dagapur under the leadership of Traffic Guard IC Subir Dutta since this morning. During the operation, several motorcycles were detained and challans were issued.
At present, most motorcycles have modified silencers which leads to noise pollution. Hence, modified silencers have been banned. To curb the proliferation of these motorbikes, the Siliguri Junction Traffic Guard launched an operation today.
