Siliguri, 27th December: Under the initiative of Siliguri Journalists Club and with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Siliguri Midtown and Inner Wheel Club of Siliguri Midtown, blankets were distributed among 150 distressed tea workers of Gulma Tea Garden, on Sunday. Meals were also arranged for needy children.
Siliguri Journalists Club Secretary Angshuman Chakraborty said that the club will continue to do more such social work in the coming days.
Binita Agarwal, president of the Inner Wheel Club of Siliguri Midtown, said that they have extended a helping hand to the needy under the initiative of the Journalists Club. She assured to adopt more such initiatives in the future.
Siliguri Journalists Club Secretary Angshuman Chakraborty, Joint Secretary Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Journalists Club EC Member Sandeep Karnani, Sanchita Aich, Rotary Club of Siliguri Midtown President Praveen Agarwal, Inner Wheel Club Siliguri Midtown President Binita Agarwal, and other members were present during the programme.
