Siliguri, 25th April: In light of the COVID-19 lockdown, the Siliguri Anandamoyee Kalibari Samiti extended their helping hand towards the needy.
Samiti General Secretary Bhaskar Biswas stated that they are regularly distributing food items among 2 thousand poor people since April 7. He maintained that various welfare organizations from different wards collect food items from the temple premises to distribute among the poor.
Biswas assured that more such initiatives will be taken during the entire lockdown period.
