Siliguri, 31st August: After actress Sunny Leone and Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar’s name figured in that of three other colleges of the state, Japanese manga character Shin Chan’s name appeared on the merit list of Siliguri College with fictional character Doraemon was entitled as the guardian.
As soon as this news revealed, the management of Siliguri College was also taken by surprise. Acting promptly, the names were immediately removed from the college website.
Jayanta Kar, on behalf of the college, stated that someone might have enrolled the names of the cartoon characters to defame the name of the college through a fake account.
In this regard, an FIR will be registered by the college in cybercrime soon. The college also urged the administration to keep a close watch on the matter.
