Shankar Ghosh quits CPI(M) before the assembly elections

Siliguri, 10th March: Putting an end to all speculations, CPI(M) leader Shankar Ghosh announced to leave the party during a press conference at his residence on Wednesday.


“It was difficult to work for the party and I had to go through a lot of hardships in the last few years,” he stated.

Ghosh already resigned from the BoA at Siliguri Municipal Corporation and has sent a resignation letter of quitting the party’s general membership.


He mentioned that he decided to quit the party due to some organizational reasons and disagreement. However, he made no remarks regarding joining any other party.

“I have not decided to switch to another team yet. However, I am looking for a new path,” Ghosh added.
