Siliguri, 18th July: Several residents of South Colony Mazdoor Basty area under NJP police station have been accused of damaging the temple boundaries after they were stopped from carrying out anti-social activities in the locality.
According to local sources, reports have emerged that several anti-social activities were being carried out in a temple of the said area from the past several days. Acting promptly, temporary boundaries were constructed to prevent such misdeeds. Following this, the miscreants allegedly broke the boundaries late at night.
It has been learned that the locals lodged a written complaint at the police station on Saturday morning. The NJP police have launched an investigation into the incident.
