Siliguri, 25th May: The Police, on Monday morning, closed several shops in the Siliguri Hashmi Chowk area.
After two residents of the Ward No. 6 area tested COVID-19 positive recently, barricades were put up around specific parts of the ward. However, several shops had resumed operations in the Hashmi Chowk area and crowds were being spotted on a regular basis. Therefore, such an initiative has been taken today.
