Siliguri, 30th August: Hundreds of activists and supporters left Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined Trinamool Congress (TMC), on Sunday.
Reportedly, a total of 143 youths and their families joined TMC in the Kholachand Fapri area in the presence of State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb.
On the other hand, 237 youths and their families left BJP and joined TMC at Jabravita in Dabgram-2 region. Minister Goutam Deb handed over the party flag to the newcomers and welcomed them.
Dabgram Fulbari Yuva Trinamool Congress president Gautam Goswami and other party members were present during the programme.
