Siliguri, 24th January: Republic Day is all set to be celebrated with pomp across the country on 26th January. Likewise, preparations to celebrate the day are in full swing in Siliguri too. Keeping in view of the security, elaborate arrangements have been made.
The RPF and GRP are jointly conducting searches at NJP Railway Station. Sniffer dogs have been brought in for proper security tracks. Along with this, checking is also being conducted on various trains arriving at the station. At the same time, the bags of the passengers are also being checked. Strict surveillance is being kept on every activity at the station through CCTV. RPF and GRP officers were present during today’s inspection.
Adding to this, an awareness program on several issues was also conducted by RPF ensuring the safety of the passengers.
