SDO inspected Siliguri’s Ward No. 6 and 27 after two residents tested COVID-19 positive

Siliguri, 18th May: After two residents from Siliguri Ward No. 6 and 27 tested COVID-19 positive on Monday, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Sumanta Sahay, ADCP Traffic and other police officials inspected both the wards.


Meanwhile, both the residents have been admitted to the Matigara COVID-19 Hospital. Barricades will also be put up around the houses of the patients to prevent the further spread of the virus.

Addressing the media, Sahay stated that the family members of the patient in Ward No. 6 will be kept in quarantine for the upcoming several days. He further added that they are constantly trying to trace the ones who had come in contact with the patients for the past few days.
