Cooch Behar, 29th July: In a tragic incident, a school student named Rohit Barman has gone missing after he went to bathe in the Torsha River in Coochbehar Block-II district. Rohit, a resident of North Khagrabari area in Khagrabari Gram Panchayat, is a student of Manindranath High School.
As per the information, on Saturday afternoon, a group of four students, including Rohit Barman, ventured into the Torsha River to take a bath. Unfortunately, during their bath, Rohit went missing and is believed to have drowned in the water. Promptly, the authorities were alerted, and personnel from Pundibari police station and civil defense were deployed to the scene.
As of now, the search operation for the missing student is still ongoing as authorities intensify their efforts to locate him. The incident has left the local community and Rohit’s family deeply worried, hoping for his safe return.
