Siliguri, 26th March: Ashok Bhattacharya, the Siliguri assembly Left candidate of the Sanjukta Morcha (CPIM-Congress-ISF), submitted his nomination papers through a grand procession, on Friday.
The procession commenced in front of Anil Biswas Bhawan in the city. Several workers and activists marched to the beat of drums and the party’s parody songs.
On the other hand, Shankar Malakar, the Matigara-Naxalbari Congress candidate of the Sanjukta Morcha, also submitted his nomination papers. He reached the SDO office through a rally that commenced in front of the district office at Siliguri’s Hashmi Chowk area.
