Sand laden tractor seized in Bagdogra

Bagdogra, 26th April: Bagdogra police seized a tractor laden with sand during an illegal sand mining operation conducted under the cover of darkness. According to reports, the cops received a tip about an illegal sand smuggling operation from the Balasan river in Tarbandha area. Acting on this information, the police launched a campaign and successfully seized the tractor loaded with sand. However, the sand mafia managed to evade arrest. The police have taken the seized tractor to the station and are now taking further action in the matter.
