Rajganj, 17th April: Central forces conducted a route march with a bulletproof armoured vehicle in the Belakoba area of Rajganj Assembly constituency ahead of the upcoming elections, as part of heightened security measures.
The armoured vehicle accompanied security personnel during the march, which began from Rajganj Police Station and covered areas including Fatapukur, Belakoba Road, and up to Battala More.
The presence of the bulletproof vehicle drew attention from locals, with crowds gathering along the roadside out of curiosity.
Many residents said they had not seen such a vehicle deployed during previous elections, indicating that security arrangements this time appear more stringent.
The route march was conducted in the presence of Rajganj Police Station IC Amitabh Das along with personnel of the central forces.
The Election Commission has intensified security across the region to ensure peaceful and fair polling in the upcoming Assembly elections.
