Cooch Behar, 11th February: Partha Pratim Roy inspected the Cooch Behar Government Medical College Hospital premises after being elected as the Chairman of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of the Cooch Behar Government Medical College Hospital.
During the inspection, Chairman Partha Pratim Roy held discussions with the Medical Superintendent cum Vice-Principal of the hospital regarding the renaming the Medical College Hospital.
It was reported that the hospital was named after Maharaja Jitendra Narayan as MJN Hospital. But a controversy arose after the name was changed to Government Medical College Hospital. So, the Chairman of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Partha Pratim Roy, discussed the subject during the first day of the hospital inspection. He stated that the State Chief Minister will be informed about the matter.
