Rajganj, 26th February: Jalpaiguri District Council Chairperson Uttara Barman laid the foundation stone of the paved road today. Reportedly, the road will be constructed from Sahebpara Primary School to Chhat Para of Sukhani Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block. With the financial support of the board, the paved road is being constructed at a cost of about Rs 19 lakh.
In this regard, Jalpaiguri District Council Chairperson Uttara Barman said that the local people had demanded proper roads for a long time.
“The people of the area will be greatly benefited by the construction of this road,” Barman added.
Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Jalpaiguri DPSC President Laxman Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Poornima Roy and others were present on the occasion.
