Siliguri, 29th November: A person lost his life in a tragic road accident, on Monday evening. The incident surfaced from the Hindustan corner near Uttar Kanya of Fulbari. The deceased has been identified as Bapi Das.
Reportedly, Bapi Das, a resident of the Fakdaibari area of Ashighar, was visiting his in-law’s house near Uttar Kanya today when a truck coming from the opposite direction crushed him to death while he was crossing the road. After the incident, NJP police and Jalpai More traffic department personnel reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, an atmosphere of tension was witnessed in the area after the incident. A large police force reached the spot to bring the situation under control.
