Rigged voting at Bagdogra’s Kedarnath Primary School, woman allegedly castes vote with fake Voter ID Card

Bagdogra, 26th April: In the ongoing second phase of Lok Sabha polls, allegations of rigged voting surfaced from Bagdogra’s Kedarnath Primary School where a voter Pushpa Sharma arrived to cast her vote at booth No. 25/39 and learned that voting on her name was already done.


As per details received, another woman allegedly made a counterfeit voter card in the name of Pushpa Sharma and casted her vote on Thursday. It is alleged that fake votes are being cast by making similar voter cards. Pushpa Sharma has expressed her disappointment after the incident.

Pushpa Sharma stated that a woman has allegedly voted in her name. She added that she had informed the personnel-in-charge of the polling station. Later, as she complained, she was allowed to cast her vote in the ballot. However, no response was received from the Presiding Officer of the booth regarding the issue.
