Rest House likely to be built outside Bengal Safari Park, State Forest Minister made the announcement

Siliguri, 29th December: State Forest Minister Jyotipriya Mallick, on Thursday, announced that rest houses will likely be built for tourists who visit the Bengal Safari Park from outside. The initiative has been proposed to allow tourists to come to Bengal Safari, stay at the rest houses and then visit nearby hill stations including Darjeeling and Kalimpong. 


As per the report, the Forest Minister reached Siliguri today. He interacted with forest officials as well as Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb and SJDA Chairman Saurabh Chakraborty at Bengal Safari Park itself. During this many issues were discussed in regard to making the park more attractive for tourists and common people. 

For the said project, the approval of the Central Zoo Authority will be necessary. Furthermore, the Forest Minister added that various forest bungalows across the state will also be modernised. He said that the Forest Department is planning to increase the number of these forest bungalows in various sanctuaries.
