Siliguri, 11th January: Gopal Das, a resident of Shantipara, Siliguri brought laurels to the city by bagging the title of Mr. Siliguri, a bodybuilding competition. The said competition was organized on 9th January at Champasari, Siliguri during which he won the title. Gopal worked regularly for 4 hours a day to win the title and has also trained with Mr. India title winner Manoj Das.
Presently Gopal is working as a trainer in a gym located at NTS More, Siliguri. He took a time off from his work to train himself as a bodybuilder, which brought him success. Gopal Das said that earlier he had won a gold medal in the Mr. Flex competition held in Jaigaon. Speaking on his future endeavors Gopal said that although the target is difficult, he is determined to win the title of Mr. India in the future.
