RCB signs Siliguri’s Richa Ghosh for Rs 1.90 crore for India’s first Women’s IPL 

Siliguri, 13th February: On Sunday, India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets and won a spectacular victory in India’s first match of the Women’s T20 World Cup. Jemima Rodrigues and wicket-keeper batsman Richa Ghosh have done wonders. Richa of Siliguri scored brilliantly with 31 runs in 20 balls. The performance of team India has garnered a lot of accolades and praise from everyone including Sachin Tendulkar. 


Meanwhile, the women’s IPL is instituting for the first time. Richa Ghosh was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.90 crore on Monday’s auction. Naturally, everyone is waiting to see her stellar performance in the IPL. However, before that everyone is hoping to win the World Cup. 

The cricket world was impressed by the way the Indian women’s team commenced the T20 World Cup with their brilliant performance. In this regard, Richa’s father Manvendra Ghosh said that he does not watch the game on TV because he gets anxious and tensed. He further added that his daughter is playing well and is very proud of her. Addressing the media, Richa’s father said that he has told his daughter to win the World Cup. 


It is to be noted that recently the Indian Under-19 women’s cricket team created history by winning the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title.
