Siliguri, 06th May: Under the initiative of the West Bengal Trinamool Secondary Teachers’ Association and the Siliguri Education District, food items were handed over to the needy people residing in the Matrigara ‘Matri Chaya Blind School’ and ‘Apnaghar’ old age home today. The distribution was done with the assistance of the teachers, educational staff, and professors of the Shiv Mandir Attharakhai region under the Matigara block.
3 gunny bags of rice, 10 kg of lentils, 60 kgs of potatoes, 16 kgs of edible oil, 50 kgs of vegetables, and 2 kgs of soybeans were provided to both the organizations.
Apart from this, the ration is likely to be provided to around 700 needy people in the Shiv Mandir Attharakhai region under the Matigara block.
