Darjeeling, 01st July: Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra was held in Darjeeling today. Every year, since 1935, the Rath Yatra in Darjeeling is taken out from the 108 years old Thakur Bari Mandir. However, the festival could not be celebrated a few years back due to the Gorkhaland agitation and later followed by COVID-19 lockdown.
Devotees were spotted pulling the chariot’s rope and celebrating with great zeal and dedication despite the rain, on Friday. The Rath Yatra was taken to Chowrasta via the Chowk Bazar and back to the Thakur Bari Mandir,
