Rajganj, May 2nd: In a commendable initiative to provide relief from the scorching heat, the Rajganj police station initiated the distribution of ORS and drinking water among passers-by.
Amidst rising temperatures, the police aimed to offer assistance to individuals venturing out for work or involved in traffic management.
Reportedly, on Thursday, the distribution took place at various points along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri national highway, including Fatapukur, Hati More, Sariam, and Belakoba.
IC Anupam Majumdar stated that approximately 600 people have been provided with drinking water amid the soaring temperatures in North Bengal, highlighting the commitment of the police to community welfare.
