Rajganj, 24th March: Rajganj assembly BJP candidate Supen Roy met two families in Rajganj whose houses were destroyed in a major fire break out on Tuesday.
Reportedly, two houses were destroyed in a major fire break-out at Nathuachar of Baropatia gram panchayat under Jalpaiguri Sadar block on Tuesday afternoon. The fire initially broke out in the house of Sujan Das, following which, the blaze spread to the residence of Chiranjan Das. Both the houses were completely destroyed, damaging valuables worth lakhs.
After receiving the news, BJP candidate from Rajganj assembly Supen Roy inspected the spot today. Roy said that he will appeal to the government to help both families.
