Railway Workers Organization Joint Action Committee conducts a protest against the illegal transfer of employees

Siliguri, 1 February: The Railway Workers’ Joint Action Committee conducted a protest against the illegal transfer of the running employees, at platform No. 01 of NJP station. It has been alleged that railway drivers and guards are being randomly transferred by high-ranking railway officials.


NJP Branch of Railway Employees Union Union Secretary Bhaskar Tar stated, “NJP station is considered the main station of Northeast India. But, the railway is planning to transfer staff to roadside stations, which is not acceptable.”

Further adding, if their demands are not met, a massive agitation will be conducted in the upcoming days.
