Rajganj, 12th February: Due to the poor road conditions in the Sardarpara-Debaruvita area of Belakoba, the locals blocked the road on Wednesday, demanding the construction of paved roads.
The locals alleged that about 2.5 kilometers from the said area is lying in a deplorable condition for the past 10 years due to which the locals are facing a lot of difficulties. Despite discussing the matter with the Gram Panchayat and the local administration several times, no settlement has been provided yet.
Tapan Roy, a member of the local Panchayat, stated that the issue has been reported to all the concerned departments but no action has been taken so far. However, the locals lifted the roadblock after the Gram Panchayat authorities assured to commence the construction work soon.
