Protest rally in Siliguri against rise in prices of essential commodities

Siliguri, 29th March: The Darjeeling District Trinamool Chattra Parishad and Darjeeling District Trinamool Yuva Congress staged a protest rally against the abnormal rise in prices of petrol-diesel, cooking gas, and other daily necessities.


It has been learned that the protest rally was taken out from Baghajatin Park on Tuesday, went around different areas of the city, and ended at Baghajatin Park again. The rally was led by Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Yuva Trinamool Congress President, and others.

“Protests are going on everywhere. The people of the nation and the residents of Bengal do not want the Modi government in power anymore. Hence, we have started a movement in Siliguri today,” Goutam Deb said.
