Siliguri, 28th January: The Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Siliguri’s Tarai Tarapada Adarsha Vidyalaya commenced on 26th January with several programs. Many programs are being organized in the school for four days.
In this sequence, a grand procession was taken out from the school premises on Saturday. The procession was started by the Mayor of Siliguri Goutam Deb by flying balloons. During this, Deputy-Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, School Principal Ashok Kumar Nath, Executive President Swapan Das, Ward No. 30 Councilor Sathi Das, and other dignitaries were present.
At the same time, present and former teachers and students took part in the said procession that circumambulated various streets of the city accompanied by dhaak tunes and tribal dance.
