Alipurduar, 03rd August: Although the government has strictly prohibited the opening of all educational institutions until further notice, an English medium private school in Hamiltonganj area under Kalchini block of Alipurduar district was caught conducting classes defying the restrictions. Upon learning about the matter, Kalchini BDO reached the spot and closed the school.
Kalchini BDO Prashanta Barman said that the said English medium private school in the said area was conducting classes for small children. “As soon as we learned about the matter, we reached the spot and requested the teachers to take online classes for students instead,” he added.
