Pradhan Nagar police arrest one on charges of murder

Siliguri, 04th March: Pradhan Nagar police arrested a person on charges of murder. The arrested accused has been identified as Sanjeev Pradhan, a resident of Darjeeling.


As per the report, on February 23, Muskan Ram Tel along with his wife Nishu Subba went to the SNT bus stand to bring his mobile phone which was supposed to arrive from Sikkim. Allegedly, at that time, a person named Sanjeev Pradhan got into a conflict with them. The locals then reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

While Muskan was returning with his wife, Sanjeev suddenly attacked him with a rod. He was rescued in a severely injured condition and rushed to the hospital where he was released after initial treatment. The next day, when his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.


The deceased’s wife Nishu Subba lodged a written complaint at the Pradhannagar Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused Sanjeev Pradhan last night. When the accused was produced in Siliguri court today, the court ordered 7 days of police custody.
