Siliguri, 31st December: With the advent of a new year, all the services of Siliguri Municipal Corporation will be modernized. As a first step, POS machines were distributed among the municipal workers for tax collection.
Mayor Goutam Deb and Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar handed over the machines to the workers through a program at Ravindra Manch. The Mayor said that 50 personnel have been assigned POS machines for tax collection with the help of a private bank. “Siliguri Municipal Corporation has taken initiative to modernize all the services in the coming days also,” he added.
