Alipurduar, 14th August: Strict security measures have been imposed across the country to prevent untoward incidents on Independence Day.
The Jaigaon police have set up strict surveillance in Jaigaon and its adjoining areas in the Indo-Bhutan border of Alipurduar district. Naka checking is being carried out at the Bhutan border.
A search is being conducted on all the big and small vehicles going to Jaigaon since this morning.
