Police initiate Route March in Siliguri before assembly polls

Siliguri, 10th February: Police initiated a route march in the city before the announcement of the date of assembly polls. Last night, Siliguri Metropolitan Police patrolled in different parts of the city.


It is to be noted that Deputy Election Commissioner Sudip Jain visited Bengal a few days ago. He expressed concern over law and order in the state. He directed the state government to tighten the legal system before the polls.

It has been learned that the police will continue patrolling till the assembly elections. Sources say that the central forces will arrive in the state within a few days.
