Police hinder BJP’s ‘Save Democracy’ rally in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 04th September: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised its voice alleging political violence, nepotism and corruption in Bengal.


The party has called for the ‘Save Democracy’ demonstrations across the state today. Likewise, in Jalpaiguri district too, the BJP activists staged a protest under the said slogan.

However, the police intervened before the rally could commence. Due to this as conflict broke out between the party activists and the police.


While the police were allegedly attacked during the conflict, the demonstrators also tried to break police barricades.
