Police busted single-digit lottery gambling running in Siliguri

Siliguri, 28th May: The team of Panitanki Outpost under Siliguri Metropolitan Police busted a racket running single-digit lottery in Bidhan Market, Siliguri. In this regard, police arrested an individual identified as Vikram Sahni, who is a resident of Babupara.


According to reports, the gambling racket was functional in the form of Single Digit Lottery in shop number 23 of Bidhan Market, in which lakhs of rupees were gambled on numbers with the help of computers. The prices of tickets ranged from 5 rupees to 500 rupees. Upon winning, 10 rupees got a return of 20, while 100 rupees won a return of 200, and 1000 for investing 500.

Subsequently, the police, upon receiving inputs, arrested the accused by undertaking an operation. Additionally, police also seized two computers, and single-digit lottery tickets, along with other materials. Today, the police of Panitanki Outpost produced the accused before the Siliguri Court. Meanwhile, police are currently on a hunt to apprehend the mastermind of the single-digit lottery.
