Siliguri, 03rd May: In a significant breakthrough, Matigara police arrested a drug peddler with a substantial quantity of brown sugar near Chandmuni Hospital Line. The accused, identified as Neeraj Thapa, is a resident of Vishwas Colony in Matigara.
According to reports, on Friday afternoon, the accused Neeraj Thapa was spotted roaming near the Chandmuni Hospital Line purportedly on his way to deliver a consignment of brown sugar. Upon receiving the information, the white-uniformed officials of Matigara police station reportedly caught the accused.
During the search, the officials recovered approximately 17 grams of brown sugar from his possession prompting his arrest. Following this, Neeraj Thapa was formally arrested and will be presented before the Siliguri court on Saturday.
