Rajganj, 05th May: Despite repeated reminders to stay at home, several people were sighted on the Fulbari-2 Gram Panchayat premises, breaching the lockdown restrictions.
As per the report, on Tuesday, people were spotted crowding the area to collect ration coupons without maintaining social distance. The Gram Panchayat authorities and the police had a tough time handling the chaos.
It has been learned that coupons are being provided to the ration card applicants in Rajganj from today. In this regard, Puran Lohar, the Chief Inspector of the Rajganj Food Supply Department, stated that such an initiative has been taken keeping in mind the helpless situation of the people whose ration cards have not yet been printed due to the lockdown. He further maintained that every Gram Panchayat under the Rajganj Block has adopted this initiative.
