Passengers outraged as NJP bound Vande Bharat Express cancelled from Howrah

Siliguri, 25th August: On Friday, the Vande Bharat Express train bound for New Jalpaiguri (NJP) was cancelled at Howrah station due to a mechanical problem. Following this, an arrangement was made by the railway authorities and the distressed passengers continued their journey on Yuva Express.


According to reports, the Governor of West Bengal was supposed to travel to Malda by the Vande Bharat Express. However, as the train was cancelled, Governor CV Anand Bose arrived in Malda by the Yuva Express. Later, the Passengers expressed their agitation as the train arrived at NJP station almost one and a half hours late.

Meanwhile, the passengers en route to Howrah from the NJP station were likewise shocked to discover the issue. Significantly, they faced a lot of inconvenience locating their seats due to the change of trains. In this regard, they complained that the railway did not provide any help.
