Darjeeling, 18th July: Over 600 saplings of different species were planted today in Darjeeling under the leadership of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha founder President Bimal Gurung with the objective of conserving the environment.
Addressing the media, Bimal Gurung said many illnesses can be avoided if the environment is kept clean and tidy. “The current COVID situation has also highlighted the importance of oxygen and we can avoid the shortage of oxygen by planting as many trees as possible,” he said.
