Rajganj, 28th September: On behalf of the environmental organization ‘Optopic’, a tree plantation programme was organized on Monday at the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage. Reportedly around 25 saplings were planted on the Fulbari Barrage premises.
Organization president Dipjyoti Chakraborty stated that tree plantation programmes are being organized at the Fulbari Barrage area for the past several years. He further stated that some fruit trees have been planted as a lot of migratory birds are spotted at the Mahananda Barrage during the winter season.
Phansidewa block BDO Sanju Guha, DSP (Rural) Achintya Gupta, Phansidewa OC Sujit Das, Santu Dutta, Makhan Ghosh, Parimal Sinha, and many others were present during the programme.
